When I realised that Cardiff city centre was going to be blessed with a new state-of-the-art stadium with which to host the 1999 Rugby World Cup and events beyond, I decided to create a photographic record of its construction, from March 1998 when it was starting to go up, all the way up to the Rugby World Cup tournament itself. The result is all of these photographs that make up the bulk of this site. I hope you enjoy browsing through them as I did when taking them and building this website to commemorate the dawn of a golden age for Cardiff and Wales as a whole.
