The superstructure is starting to close around the stadium bowl, whilst the biggest crane in Europe is brought in to start hoisting the roof sections into place.
Until the masts and cables are added to take the weight of the roof, it is supported from within the stadium bowl by six temporary metal columns.
The attachment of seating to the lower tiers has begun.
The Riverside Walk has also started construction at this point.
